From May 5th to May 7th, the postgraduate course "Earth Science and Data Analysis" was approved by our school for the 5th International Education Week. This course, offered by Associate Professor Boris Platov of Kazan Federal University in Russia, taught students how to use geological statistics to build Geological models, including variograms and their parameters, kriging, and Gaussian random function simulations. The students learned to create geological models using geostatistical methods and sharpen their English communication skills through classroom interactions in English.
The 2023 International Education Week graduate course is an integral part of the school's 16th International Education Week, an international curriculum program established to increase the introduction of high-quality overseas teaching resources, broaden students' global vision, and enhance their international understanding and communication skills.
