CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITION

The European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) recently held its 84th annual conference and exhibition in Vienna, Austria. Over 30 teachers and students attended and presented academic reports, including Professor Yin Xingyao, Professor Zhang Guangzhi, Professor Zong Zhaoyun, and Professor Yang Jidong.

Our teachers and students visited Europe to participate in the 84th EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition.

Over 6000 experts and scholars from various countries participated in a significant international academic association conference for geology and geophysics. The event showcased more than 1300 reports and over 200 exhibition booths. The conference's theme, "Securing a Sustainable Future Together", highlighted cutting-edge technologies and the latest advances in geophysics, geology, and machine learning.

Our institute's teachers and students presented 20 oral reports and ten exhibition panels. The topics covered a range of subjects, including source rock reservoir prediction, multi-scale wave flux mechanism, deep learning-based reservoir prediction, and seismic wave offset imaging. These presentations were highly informative and provided a platform for discussing new geophysical technologies and methods and the latest developments in petrophysics. The breadth of knowledge and academic vision demonstrated by our teachers and students was impressive.

Over the past few years, the school has made effencourageds and students to actively engage in international academic conferences. These events provide a platform for learning and exchanging ideas on the latest developments in the field of geology, particularly in oil and gas exploration and development. By participating in these conferences, attendees are able to broaden their academic perspectives, deepen their understanding of the industry, and enhance the international academic reputation of our university.
