From May 22nd to 25th, the 10th National College Students' "Innovation Cup" Geophysical Knowledge Competition was held at Jilin University in Changchun. In this year, the competition has added a space physics categoryon the basis of the original gravity magnetic exploration, seismic exploration, and solid geophysics. 109 teams from 46 universities, including Peking University, University of Science and Technology of China, and Jilin University, participated in the competition. Each competition category will be awarded one special prize and several first, second, and third prizes. Three student’s teams from school of Geosciences participated in three categories except for the space physics. After 7 rounds of intensive competitions, including video review, self-presentation, individual questions, team questions, comprehensive essay, team quiz, and debate competitions, all three teams from our school won the second prize, and student Wang Tianyu was awarded the Best competitor Award.
