Teachers and students attend the 86th EAGE Conference and Exhibition

 From June 2nd to 5ththe 86th Annual Conference and Exhibition, organized by the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE), was held in Toulouse, France. More than 20 teachers and students attended the exhibition and gave academic presentations. The university and the Deep Oil and Gas State Key Laboratory set up booths at the exhibition. Teachers and students from School of Geosciences gave the total of 30 speeches and posters, and had sufficient exchanges with domestic and foreign peers on relevant new methods and technologies, demonstrating the academic level and broad academic vision of our faculty and students.


 EAGE, one of the most important international academic organizations in the fields of geology and geophysics, has a wide influence in the earth science and energy industry. With the theme of this year Navigating Change: Geosciences Shaping a Sustainable Transition. The conference has accepted over 1000 papers on 90 topics. The technical report mainly covers research work in rock physics, seismic forward modeling, multi-component seismic data processing, seismic data interpretation, seismic signal processing, reservoir interpretation and prediction, full waveform inversion, seismic imaging, energy transformation, and petroleum data acquisition.
